As we sit down to write this, England has just eased the lockdown restrictions for the first time in 7 weeks. Businesses are re-opening and starting to operate again as many try to get back to some form of normality. Most of us are grateful for this but hesitant of the uncertainty and what’s around the corner. We are sending hope to you all for a future that’s positive.

 

Between the daily sadness and acts of bravery in this global fight, it has been extraordinary to see how we are adapting our lives which has impacted each and every one of us on this earth. 

 

 At mali studios, we have been sensitively nurturing creativity through this intensely difficult time. As a family business, we have been finding a wide range of creative positive approaches to give thanks and to celebrate the amazing efforts of those on our front line. We are continually moved by the examples of kindness and community spirit we see around us in these times. The incredibly courageous individuals who have been saving lives and to those who are keeping our nation going.

 

We have been quietly working behind the scenes, voluntarily taking part in making scrubs and masks for an incredible community of home sewers that are championing their way through the huge national effort to help our NHS, care workers and community feel safer across the Northwest of England. 

 

We thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts for your continued heroic efforts. It is with this, that we want to show just how much you mean to us all and show our support to our truly amazing National Health Service - we will be donating 50% of all profits of our next project release to @nhscharitiestogether and offering discount to all key workers. 

 

When this crisis comes to an end, and the sun returns & our hearts are filled with joy and hope.  When we naturally return to our usual life, we will be equipped with some extra values, fascinated by everything that is worthy of being called human and giving back to the planet.  We are convinced that the new time will be a fascinating opportunity for us all, with a renewed desire for life and creators of new ideas. 

 

With this lockdown, let’s be change-makers for a future positive.
