MALI STUDIOS REVERSIBLE ORGANIC FACE MASKS
We know that since the easing of lockdown, many of us are concerned over safety whilst spending time in supermarkets, parks and other public spaces. Therefore, our face masks have been handcrafted to provide a level of protection for yourself, your family and your community.
Our reversible organic face masks have been handcrafted in our studio using 100% Organic Cotton Poplin, high quality 200 thread count.
The material is grown and produced by Fair Trade organisations in Northern India. Our raw material is sourced and certified organically-grown in India and spun into yarn at a Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified local mill. The cloth is woven on small power looms in a small fair trade community in Kerala, India.
The cotton is not sprayed with toxic insecticides and the fabrics are safely dyed using GOTS approved non-azo dyes.
Our face masks are available in six different patterns, with a plain black side on the reverse.
Will they fit?
We have handcrafted our face masks with comfortable adjustable elastic ear straps to secure the mask behind each ear and allow the user to adjust the size accordingly.
How do I keep them clean?
Our face masks are fully machine washable. Government advice suggests you should wash them once a day at 30 degrees.
Your mali studios face mask also comes with a small organic cotton bag to store and protect your masks when not in use.
We would recommend you sanitize your hands before taking it off to maximise protection.
How protective are they?
The protective face mask offers a level of protection. There is a built-in inner layer pocket which you can add a disposable filter.* They are not equivalent to PPE equipment and should be regarded as an added form of protection rather than an alternative.
* Filters are not included (if you do not have shop-bought mask filters, please research into other home-made alternatives that can be effective in providing additional protection).
